Sampling Project
I like a lot real instruments and I never found a really good simulation on workstation of any kind. Yes you can find a lot of sampling library out there but the prices are many time too high or they just don't fit on a keyboard 'cos of their size.
So I decided to starting sampling instruments I need. I talked to my guitarist Ironfede (great software developer too, check out the links section for one of his works) about this project and we started soon to work on guitars sampling.
Recording seems easy to do but it's really difficult to record a guitar note per note. After the recording the looping session is harder and takes a lot of time.
You can here the result of our work in the samples in some mp3 at the bottom of this page, just a little arp done with my triton WITHOUT using IFX, MFX or EQ settings (except for the mandolin mp3 which came from a program edited with eq and a reverb effect), so the work is what you can here copying the program to the sequencer mode without adding effects.
I added a txt file on which I wrote down the characteristic of the sampling work, the guitar we used, the other material used in this project and other little explanations.
I decided to start sampling something different than acoustic instruments, so this time I sampled a Virus B. All the sounds in the following mp3 called Virus are samples of the Virus B played directly in the Triton sequencer with the add of ifx and mfx. Excuse me for the rough little composition, take it only as a demo of the sounds themselves.
For more info on these sounds you can contact me by mail
